Bounce Rate

Bounce rate is a metric used in web analytics to measure the percentage of visitors who leave a website after viewing only one page. In other words, it represents the proportion of single-page visits, where users do not interact further with the site and exit without navigating to any other pages.

A high bounce rate could indicate that the website's content is not engaging, relevant, or user-friendly, leading visitors to leave the site quickly. Conversely, a low bounce rate signifies that users are finding the website valuable and are more likely to explore additional pages.

It is essential to note that the ideal bounce rate varies depending on the type of website and its goals. For instance, a blog or news site might have a higher average bounce rate, as users often visit these sites to read a specific article and then leave. Meanwhile, an e-commerce site or a site with multiple user interactions would aim for a lower bounce rate.

Visitor Returning Rate

Visitor returning rate, also known as the return visitor rate or repeat visitor rate, is a metric in web analytics that measures the percentage of visitors who return to a website after their initial visit. This metric helps website owners and marketers understand user engagement and satisfaction with the site's content, design, and user experience.

A high visitor returning rate indicates that users find the website valuable and engaging, leading them to return for more information, products, or services. It often signifies that the website successfully retains its audience and builds loyalty. On the other hand, a low visitor return rate may suggest that the site is not meeting users' expectations or needs, causing them not to return.

Don't hesitate to contact our support if you feel unsure about your visitor return rate. We will analyze your website for you and find the best bounce rate for your website!

The visitor returning rate is calculated for each traffic tracker software differently. We try our best to get the most accurate results possible. However, for example, google analytics doesn't publish the conditions visitors must apply to count as returned visitors.
