What Is Traffic Speed?
The Traffic Speed setting, accessible within your project's settings, governs the rate at which visitors are funneled to your website. This feature grants you the flexibility to regulate your site's visitor volume, with options ranging from zero up to the maximum pageviews allowed by your selected plan.
Difference Between Pageviews & Visitors
In the context of website traffic, 'visitors' refer to the number of unique sessions initiated on your website, whereas 'pageviews', also known as hits, represent the total number of individual pages visited across all sessions.
For instance, if you have a plan that includes 20,000 visitors and 60,000 pageviews, it means that, on average, each visitor will navigate through three pages on your website during their session.
Traffic Speed Configuration
Setting up the Traffic Speed parameter on your website involves a few straightforward steps:
- Navigate to the settings of your Project.
- Locate the 'Traffic Speed' option.
- Enter your preferred number of pageviews (hits).
- Click 'Save Changes' to apply your settings.
By following these steps, you can effectively manage your website's traffic speed, helping you tailor your visitor flow according to your website's capacity and your specific needs.
